Dixie Carter to appear at this Sunday’s IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary PPV

According to Marc Riamondi of ESPN, Former TNA President and owner Dixie Carter will make her return to the company for an appearance at this Sunday’s IMPACT Slammiversary pay-per-view in Nashville, TN.

Carter’s return is part of IMPACT Wrestling’s 20 year celebration, as June 19, 2002 marked the first ever NWA-TNA show that debuted on PPV, and emanated from the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Carter was the president of then-TNA Wrestling from 2003 through 2016, before selling her majority share to Anthem Sports & Entertainment. After the sale, Anthem then renamed the company to IMPACT Wrestling in 2017. Carter would then eventually sell her minority stake. She served as an on-screen personality, and as an authority figure beginning in 2010.
