Mercedes Mone’ (former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks) was spotted in the crowd during Friday night’s IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings.
Mone’ was in attendance at the show support to her former tag team partner, Trinity Fatu (Former WWE Superstar Naomi). Fatu, going by her first name of Trinity, made her debut at IMPACT’s TV tapings on Friday night during the Spring Slugfest television tapings at Cicero Stadium in Chicago, IL.
Mone’ later posted a video to her Twitter of Trinity’s debut and said that her former tag team partner in WWE, will make an impact and leave her opponents in the rearview. The rearview was Trinity’s finishing move in WWE.
Friday night’s appearance is Trinity’s first wrestling event since she and Mone’ walked out of the May 16, 2022 episode of WWE Raw in Norfolk, VA, over creative differences and lack of respect at the Women’s Tag Team Champions. Both women were suspended indefinitely and stripped of the titles.
Mone’s is currently under contract to NJPW and will be participating in a tournament to crown a new NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. That match is set to take place at the NJPW Resurgence event which will be held at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, CA on Sunday, May 21.
