Blanchard wrestled a few of matches last year for various independent promotions, and also went back to school. She departed IMPACT Wrestling on June 25, 2020 after her contract was terminated before it was set to expire on June 30. The promotion stripped of the World Championship in the process.

Blanchard was originally set to defend the IMPACT World Championship at the promotion’s Slammiversary PPV on July 18, 2020 in a Fatal 5-Way Match. However, she had been in Mexico and has been unable to leave the country because of travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was supposed to send promos from Mexico but failed to do so. In addition, she was scheduled to part of an edited sit-down interview conducted by Josh Mathews “via satellite.”  When that material was not received, it was said that IMPACT had to re-edit the episode with host segments and new voiceovers.

Blanchard was the first female IMPACT World Champion. She also was set to be a part of the WOW – Women of Wrestling promotion, but had a falling out before it was set to re-launch.

In January 2020, Blanchard was accused of making racial slurs and bullying other female wrestling talent. At the time, she denied those allegations.

La Rose Negra had posted to Instagram recently, noting that Blanchard did recently make amends with her. Negra had accused Blanchard of racial slurs and bullying.
