IMPACT News: Scott D’Amore returning to the ring; Title Matches set for Down Under Tour

During an in-ring segment on Thursday night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling that aired on AXS TV, Scott D’Amore said he was taking a leave of absence from his IMPACT President position. Steve Maclin and Bully then attacked D’Amore with PCO making the save.

The segment on Thursday night, set up Scott D’Amore and PCO vs. Bully Ray and Steve Maclin at Slammiversary on Saturday, July 15, which takes place at St. Clair College in D’Amore’s hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

D’Amore returned at last Friday’s Against All Odds at nailed Bully Ray in the back with a chair after getting put through a flaming table at last month’s Under Siege event.

On Friday, June 30th, new IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley will defend the Championship against Steve Maclin in a contractually obligated rematch.

Shelley defeated Maclin at last Friday’s Against All Odds, which ended Maclin’s near two-month reign as champion.  

As of now, Shelley is scheduled to defend the IMPACT World Title against Nick Aldis at next month’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.

During Thursday night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, it was announced that Deonna Purrazzo will defend the Knockouts Championship on July 1 in Australia against Gisele Shaw.

Purrazzo is currently scheduled to defend the Knockouts Championship against Trinity at Slammiversary. However, Shaw would take her place should she win the match.
