According to multiple sources, wrestling legend “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner, 57, was rushed to the hospital after collapsing backstage at an IMPACT Wrestling event in Atlanta.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, after collapsing Steiner was worked on by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the emergency room. IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore, Tommy Dreamer, and Joey Ryan went with him to the hospital. D’Amore and Dreamer both tweeted that Steiner is doing ok.
Steiner is a former WCW Champion, as well as a multi-time Tag Team Champion with his brother Rick. Steiner most recently appeared at NWA Hard Times in January to challenge for the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. Steiner was at the IMPACT tapings in Atlanta to do a TNA themed throwback show.
On behalf of the staff of Wrestleview, we send our best wishes to Scott Steiner for a speedy recovery.
For all concerned parties @ScottSteiner is OK.
His family is grateful for everybody’s concern and support.
