Madison Rayne reportedly leaving IMPACT

According to a new report from PWInsider, and also confirmed F4WOnline, Madison Rayne will be departing IMPACT Wrestling to take a new full-time job outside of the industry.

She has been doing commentary with her real-life husband Josh Mathews, being the first female in the company to be in such a role.

Rayne (real name Ashley Nichole Lomberger) made her professional wrestling debut under the name of Ashley Lane for Ohio Valley Championship Wrestling in 2005.

She then went on to wrestle for Shimmer from 2007 to 2009 and 2011, and then in 2017 and 2018.

Rayne debuted for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling on the January 8, 2009 episode of TNA Impact!, where she was defeated by Awesome Kong. She was most notably known as part of the Beautiful People faction with Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.

After leaving IMPACT Wrestling in 2017, she competed in the WWE Mae Young Classic Tournament under the name of Ashley Rayne.  She was eliminated in the first round by Mercedez Martinez, and would then go on to sign with Ring of Honor. Reportedly due to creative differences, Rayne and ROH came to terms on her release in February 2019.

Rayne would then return to IMPACT in March 2019, and for most of 2020, she has been doing color commentary.

As of this report, there are no further details on what this new job is outside of the wrestling industry, when she is set to officially leave IMPACT, and who will be her replacement alongside Josh Mathews.
