IMPACT Wrestling news and notes: Moose, Slammiversary and more

IMPACT Wrestling news and notes

It is being said that Moose received a main roster offer from WWE, but turned it down to stay in IMPACT. The word is there were talks when Moose’s deal was running out, but the WWE offer was for NXT first and not for the main roster right away.

Former Knockouts Champion Chelsea Green has been heavily talked about within IMPACT for a return to the company.  Green has been on social media teasing the old Laurel Van Ness character. Green could possibility be the mystery opponent for Knockout Champion Deonna Purrazzo at next Saturday’s Slammiversary. Additionally, Green is engaged to IMPACT star Matt Cardona.

There is said to be a plan for a bigger push for X-Division Champion Josh Alexander after what he has been able to do during his title reign.

IMPACT is reportedly looking at moving their television tapings to Las Vegas in front of fans later this year in a “relatively small building.” IMPACT has been taping at Skyway Studios in Nashville, TN, with no fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Slammiversary will take place at the same venue, and will be their first show with fans back in attendance.  The show is sold out.
