IMPACT star Chelsea Green suffers a distal radius fracture at Sacrifice event

IMPACT Knockouts star Chelsea Green suffered a fractured left radius at last Saturday’s live Sacrifice event. This is the fourth time Green has injured the same wrist.

F4WOnline is reporting that Green will not undergo surgery for the break, but will continue to wear the cast. However, Tom Hannifan noted on commentary that Green will indeed undergo surgery, followed by physical therapy.

Green was part of an eight woman tag match on last week’s show. Her only involvement in the match was on the outside of the ring, when she kicked Kaleb with a K in the groin area.

During her match at Sacrifice with Deonna Purrzaao, as Green was challenging for Ring of Honor Women’s Title, there was a part during the match where the referee threw up the X sign with his arms to signal she was legitimately. Purrazzo checked on her, but Chelsea responded with a slap to the face. Purrazzo then locked an Armbar as the referee stopped the match, with Purrazzo refusing to let go, thus making it unclear if this part of the match was a work or a legitimate injury.

According to Sports-Health.com, a distal radius fracture occurs near the wrist joint on the thumb side, and it is typically the result of a fall onto an outstretched arm. The term distal radius fracture is sometimes used interchangeably with the term “broken wrist.” It can also be referred to as a Colles fracture, which is a common type of distal radius fracture in which the broken portion of the radius is tilted upward.
