Results from TWA April 11th Show from the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees , New Jersey

Attendance: 300
Referees: John Finegan & Matt Bennett
Ring Announcer: Bob Artese
Time Keeper: Rocky Musciano

1- Word-1 North American Champion Ricky Reyes defeated Alex Anthony by submission.

2- Matt and Bryan Logan defeated Damian Dragon and Adam Cole, when Matt pinned Cole with a victory roll.

– After the match TWA Comissioner Joel Goodhart entered the ring with the new TWA Tag Team Title Belts and announced a Single Elimination Tournament to crown new TWA Tag Team Champions on Sunday, June 6th back at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees , NJ . Goodhart announced the Logan Brothers as the first team entered. The Logans spoke but were cut short when former CZW Tag Team Champions, T.J. Canon and Bruce Maxwell, the Best Around entered the ring and questioned the Logans Brothers’ claim that they would win the TWA Tag Team Championship. Things got wild when the Best Around attacked the Logans and injured Bryan ‘s leg with the use of some chairs. More on the severity of Bryan ‘s injury to come.

3- Gauntlet Match for a Permanent Roster Spot and a shot at the TWA Heavyweight Championship: Ryu Lee pinned Don E. Allen and then Johnny Calzone with top-rope frog splashes, Jimmy Jannetty defeated Ryu Lee with a Snow Plow, Shane Harris pinned Jannetty with a Spicolli Driver , and Breaker Morant defeated Harris to win the match.

4- Billy Bax (with Carlton P. Hightower) was disqualified in his match with Shockwave the Robot after Hightower, Mr. Ooh La La, Robere’ Shields and Johnny Maxx interfered, attacked Shockwave and then buried him under the flag. The Blue Meanie and Kid America made the save and challenged Mr. Ooh La La and Robere Shields to change their tag team Flag Match into a Six-Man Tag Team Flag Match w/ Shockwave teaming with Meanie & Kid America and Billy Bax teaming with Mr. Ooh La La and Robere’ Shields. The match was made for later in the evening.

5- WWF/E Legend “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka and “Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero defeated Julio Dinero (with Miss Michelle) and “The Midnight Idol” Nicky Benz, after delivering a pair of second-rope Superfly Snuka splashes.

6- World-1 Heavyweight Champion Chris Rockell was disqualified against Ryan Sawyer after a low blow.

7- “Hitman” Michael Bruno and “Sensei” Paul Lopresti defeated Larry Winters and Cujo The Hellbound when Lopresti forced Cujo to submit.

8- “Hitman” Tony Stetson (with “The Beast” Glen Osbourne) defeated “Mr. Wrestling III” (with “The Certified Genius” Rob Dimension) with a rollup to win the TWA Heavyweight Championship.

– After the match, Rob Dimension revealed Mr. Wrestling III to be Tommy Thunda and not Steve Corino. TWA Commissioner Joel Goodhart ruled that Tony Stetson had defeated Mr. Wrestling III, but did not win the title from Steve Corino, the champion, so the title went back to Corino’s camp. TWA Promoter & Owner Mike Tartaglia (aka “Hitman” Michael Bruno) entered the ring and overruled Goodhart saying Stetson did not win the title, but that Corino forfeited the title by virtue of his failure to make his scheduled title defense. As Tartaglia declared the title vacant, Breaker Morant, who earlier won a permanent roster spot and a future Championship Match in the Gauntlet Match, entered the fray and cashed in his right to a championship match on the spot. Tartaglia made the match for the vacant TWA Heavyweight Title between Tony Steston and Breaker Morant.

* Breaker Morant defeated “Hitman” Tony Stetson for the vacant TWA Heavyweight Championship when Glen Osboune turned on Stetson and knocked him out cold with a chair. More to follow on Osbourne’s reappearance and turn on Tony Stetson as this is the first time anyone from the TWA has seen or been in contact with Osbourne since he lost the TWA Heavyweight Championship on January 31st.

9- USA vs FRANCE FLAG MATCH (loser must wave the flag of the winners’ country)- “The Red, White & BLUE Express” The Blue Meanie & Kid America (with Mini-America) and Shockwave the Robot defeated “Team France ” Mr. Ooh La La & Robere’ Shields and Billy Bax (with Carlton P. Hightower), after Shockwave hit a top rope legdrop on Ooh La La. After Team France waved the USA Flag, a ton of kids entered the ring to dance and celebrate with Meanie, Kid America and Shockwave the Robot.

Thank you to everyone involved with the TWA, especially the fans, who made this event a fun afternoon and a success.
