5/7- ROH star to compete for CWE tag team gold.
Two more teams have been announced for Stand By Your Man: The Tag Team
Title Tournament on May 21st in Winnipeg!
4 Time ROH Tag Team champion Jimmy Jacobs & “Canadian Crazyhorse” Michael Elgin
Two men who have very quickly established themselves as top singles
stars in Canadian Wrestling’s Elite will join forces in hopes of
creating history and becoming the first ever CWE tag team champions.
Michael Elgin debuted with CWE back in January and has been an
incredible force ever since. Elgin’s brute strength and size have
allowed him to beat some of the top competitors he has been put up
against. Jimmy Jacobs returns to Winnipeg and CWE after a very
impressive match at Lay it on the Line that showed just why Jacobs has
been a standout on the independents for many years. With four ROH tag
team titles to his name it is highly likely Jacobs will be leaving
Winnipeg on the 21st with yet another title added his resume,
especially with someone the caliber of Elgin in his corner.
The Fabulous Creebirds (Don Douglas & Billy Blaze)
The Creebirds have been a staple in the CWE tag team division since
its inception and now have an opportunity to deliver on all of their
claims of being the top team in the division. Since the day the group
was formed the Creebirds have claimed they were an after thought and
passed over due to their Aboriginal heritage. On May 21st they will be
given the same playing field just like everyone else to make good on
their claims of being the best.
The remaining two teams will be announced in the days to come. Stay
