5/12- WWE Legend’s & Title Match added to May 21st.

2 more blockbuster matches have been added to the already star studded
Stand by Your Man: The Tag Team Title Tournament on May 21st in
Winnipeg, Manitoba.

CWE Title Match
CWE Champion AJ Sanchez vs. “Prime Cut” Jon Cutler w/Special Guest
Referee Chi Chi Cruz

The number one contender for the CWE champion Jon Cutler will receive
his much deserved title match on May 21st. Cutler defeated Sanchez
clean in the middle of the ring at the one year anniversary show
before Sanchez was ever champion and has been screwed around by
Sanchez ever since including games played by Sanchez preventing Cutler
to contend for the championship in the tournament to crown a champion.
In the big 6 man tag match at Lay it on the Line Cutler looked to have
Sanchez beat yet again but this time tampering with an official
prevented it.

Canadian wrestling legend Chi Chi Cruz has been appointed position of
special guest referee as if anyone is aware of dirty play in CWE these
days it’s Cheech. Cruz returned almost a year ago as special guest
referee for Sanchez’s hair vs. mask match that resulted in Cheech
assisting in Sanchez loosing his hair. A month later Cruz returned to
the ring to what was supposed to be a hero’s return and was stopped
dead in his tracks being pinned by Sanchez in what was the start of
the longest losing streak in Cheech’s career.

With Cruz more familiar with the in’s and out’s and the current
landscape in CWE than the average referee Cheech brings a special
element to this big title match that could witness him calling it
right down the middle or letting anything go! Sanchez has backed
himself into a corner with his dirty play and now Cutler has the
opportunity to win the very title he has been prevented from competing
for!

6-Man Tag Team Challenge added to May 21st!

“Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews, “Beautiful” Bobby Jay, & “The Canadian
Loose Cannon” TJ Bratt vs. WWE Legend Bushwhacker Luke, “The
Brickhouse” Paul Arcidi, & All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Phil Atlas

The Bobby Jay/Bushwhacker Luke feud that started at Point to Prove
will be relived on May 21st but this time both men are bringing back
up! Bobby Jay has CWE’s Pimp Daddy in his corner as well as long time
friend and the returning TJ Bratt. Luke has acquired the services of
CWE’s Brickhouse Paul Arcidi and All Japan Pro Wrestling junior
heavyweight sensation Phil Atlas!

Coming off the heels of Hoodlum’s shocking Heavyweight Championship loss to Adrian Grimm on April 11th, IWF Premier Pro Wrestling has put together a star studded main event to continue their charge through the summer of 2010! Three of the top feuds in Northern Colorado cross paths for the first time ever in 6-Man Tag Team Action as newly crowned Champion, Adrian Grimm teams with Bronx and The Miracle that is Tony versus Hoodlum, A3 Tournament Winner, Chris Wrath and “The Unreal” Joshua Michael! This titanic main event eminates LIVE from the Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado this Sunday, May 16th at 6:00 PM. Here’s a rundown of what else you’ll catch this weekend…

Jay Synn vs. Rob Ryzin
It has been 7 years since the team of HiRysk split, and the pair’s subsequent falling out occured. On April 11th, their first public meeting wasn’t as cordial as would have hoped. Instead, the fans saw almost a decade of frustration turn into a physical altercation that has forced IWF Commissioner Bigg Mike to pit the former best friends against one another for the first time in IWF history. Synn is one of the most dominant and feared monsters on the roster, and Ryzin has turned his insanely popular high flying style into a very successful run in the rocky mountain region. Both men look to improve their position on the IWF Official Rankings Board, and a victory on Sunday night would go a long way in doing so.

“The Rock & Roll Vampire” Ronin vs. Derek Stone
Following his long awaited seperation from Romeo, IWF’s resident Vampire looks to score his first victory since re-joining the singles ranks. The booking committee has done him no favors in scheduling his next opponent to be the mammoth, Derek Stone. A veteran of nearly 20 years, Stone is by far the most physically dominant human being to ever step into an IWF ring. As a long-time student of Harley Race, Derek is also a well schooled student of the game, and accompanies amazing brute force with a well polished technical game. With this imposing feat ahead of him, Ronin will have to utilize his unorthodox fighting style and mind games to overcome his largest obstacle to date.

Non-Title First Pin to Win 4-Way Dance
Juntsu vs. Bud Doobie vs. Johnny Crash vs. Damien Payne
It has been 2 months since Juntsu made his suprise return to IWF, and scored a victory over former Hardcore Champion, Joey Terrifying in an impromptu title match. Despite an extended hiatus from the ring, this Japanese War Machine hasn’t missed a step and looks to continue his winning ways in this less than traditional 4-Way Dance. Generally considered “spotfests”, matches involving 4 competitors tend to be a sprint, with victory going to the most clever. 4:20 enthusiast, Bud Doobie has gained popularity amongst IWF fandom with juvenile antics, and an unexpected array of athletic abilities… but a spot monkey he is not. Johnny Crash has both alienated and entertained the people with over the top promos that have indeed demonstrated clever wit, but his love for Lady Gaga will only take Crash so far. The wildcard of this match is the athletically gifted, Damien Payne. This former Tag Team Champion has a great future, and hopes to use this opportunity to solidify his spot on the singles roster with a win here.

IWF Tag Team Championship Match
Arik Angel & Paul Stetich vs. Capital Punishment (Brandon Morris & Wayne Thomas)
In what could be considered the greatest upset in IWF history, the unlikely duo of Angel and Stetich overcame 3 other teams to steal the IWF Tag Team Championship belts from Primal Chaos a few months back. These former enemies managed to retain those titles in their only defense to date, despite clearly remaining on different pages. The self proclaimed “Classic” Arik Angel’s ego has only grown with his first taste of IWF gold, and appears convinced HE is the only reason they won the titles. This dissension will only prove a distraction as they put the belts on the line against the upstart tag team of Brandon Morris and Wayne Thomas, Capital Punishment. CP scored their first tag team victory last month, and this tandem’s unmatched natural abilities finally seem to be reaching their potential. This bout will certainly be a styles clash, and it’ll be interesting to see if the veteran, Angel can parlay another victory alongside the “Extreme Gamer”.

Main Event 6-Man Tag Team Action
Adrian Grimm, Bronx & The Miracle that is Tony vs. Hoodlum, Chris Wrath & Joshua Michael
For months, IWF Champion, Hoodlum had been tormented by the “Masked Man”. Countless acts of cowardice by the man in black lead the former champion to challenge his unknown assailant to a Championship Match on April 11th in the evening’s main event. The appearance of Bronx and The Miracle that is Tony provided enough of a distraction for Hoodlum to give his antagonizer the victory, and IWF gold. After the match, our new champion removed his mask, and Adrian Grimm showed his face to the world. The apparent cohesion amongst the new champion and his associates remains unknown to this press writer, but an explanation is expected on May 16th.

On the other side of the coin, A3 Cup Holder, Chris Wrath has been immersed in his own battle with The Miracle that is Tony. TMTI has continually avoided defeat with underhanded tactics, and the otherwise calm Wrath has taken exception to it. These men find themselves on opposite sides of this “war of the ages”, and their ‘amplified’ style will only fuel the fire.

Rounding out this violent spectacle is the budding rivalry between Bronx, and “The Unreal” Joshua Michael. Believed by Michael to be the masked man, Bronx has taken great pleasure in arousing the Man from Monster City’s suspicions by involving himself in recent Michael bouts. This has awoken the competitive spirit within Michael, and he’s taken a more aggressive approach to the sport. Joshua has been quoted as saying that he had “become complacent”, and it is rumored that he no longer wants to be known as a “thrill junkie with no discipline”.

In addition to this already stellar card, the jack of all trades, Joey Terrofyin as well as the stars of IWF Lucha Libre will also be in action. The Buffalo Rose is located at 1119 Washington Avenue in historic Golden, Colorado just off Highway 58. General Admission tickets are $10.00 at the door, but you still have time to get $7.00 discounted tickets at www.iwfpromotions.com or through your favorite IWF performer. This is an all ages show, and reasonably priced alchohol will be sold to those over 21 with valid ID. Showtime is 6:00 PM, and the doors will open at 5:00 PM, so arrive early for best seating. Come out to Golden, and support indie wrestling in the rocky mountain region!
