6/21- All Japan star set to debut in CWE.

All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Manabu Soya vs. “Canadian Crazyhorse” Michael Elgin

On July 10th, Winnipeg, Manitoba wrestling fans will get a rare treat
when rising Japanese star Manabu Soya makes his CWE debut. Soya is a
three year pro currently residing in Canada representing All Japan Pro
Wrestling. Trained by Osamu Nishimura and Seiji Sakaguchi, Soya was
sent by AJPW to Windsor, Ontario to train with Scott D’Amore’s Can Am
Wrestling school to learn the North American style of professional
wrestling. His stay in Canada is close to coming to an end giving
Central Canadian wrestling fans a very rare chance to see one of the
future stars of Japan.

Soya’s debut in CWE will not be an easy task as the Japanese prospect
will go head to head with one of the toughest men in all Canadian
wrestling, Michael Elgin. Michael Elgin has established himself as a
major player in CWE with some big time victories and show stealing
performances on a nightly basis. It is no secret Elgin has aspirations
of competing in the orient. He recently had a successful debut for
Dragon Gate USA and would like nothing more than to send another
message to Japan in the form of a victory over Manabu Soya. This match
will be a hard hitting classic you won`t want to miss!

IWF Commissioner’s Cup Tag Team Tournament this Fri, June 25 & Sat, June 26:
8th Annual Competition features WWE Rookie Fady the Bull’s Final Appearance

(WEST PATERSON, NJ)- Independent Wrestling Federation blasts off Summer with a bang as live events return with the 8th Annual Commissioner’s Cup Tag Team Tournament Weekend this Friday, June 25, 8:00 pm, and Saturday, June 26, 7:30 pm at IWF Centre, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ. With less talking and more wrestling, you will feel the energy of live IWF action.

Day one June 25 features a spectacular Main Event as new IWF Heavyweight Champion Fady the Arabian Bull defends against former champion Hi-Definition Chris Steeler. Steeler lost the title after a one-year reign to Kevin Knight at February Fury, but Knight was upended by The Bull last month at Mayhem. Also last month, Steeler scored impressive wins over Damian Adams and Travis Blake to regain the number one contender position and receive his long awaited rematch for the gold. The events happen to mark Fady’s final IWF appearances before leaving for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Friday, June 25 also features four exciting First-Round matches of the Two-Day, Single-Elimination, Tag Team Tournament. Here is a look at the eight teams entered in the tournament…

“Imperial Dictatorship” Bruising Bookworm Frank Scoleri and German Menace Kraig Stagg. Scoleri and Stagg are the reigning IWF Tag Team Champions, who have held a death-grip on the titles for eight months. Can they bully their way with mind and body to add yet another prestigious award to their trophy case?

“CenterStage” Juicy Justin Corino and Stellar Star Travis Blake, with valet Alissa. They are also former tag team champions and the 2009 Commissioner’s Cup Tournament winners. Will Travis and Justin repeat as winners and give Blake his fourth tournament victory?

“Illusion & Allure” Damian Adams and IWF American Champion God’s Gift Aaron Stride with Richard Ross. Last month, Ross returned as Stride’s business advisor and has teamed him up Adams. The money that comes along with the tournament trophy would certainly bail Ross out of debt with Mr. Casino.

“Demon & Diamond” Kevin Knight and Dangerous Danny E. They unlikely duo are former tag team champions having held the belts in 2004 and 2005, but no longer see eye to eye. The Championship Committee has reunited the team much to their displeasure. Just how will they co-exist?

“Fame & Fortune” Chachi and Mr. Casino. With Mr. Casino aligning himself with the Latin Lover and former American Champion Chachi, this pairing is a sure bet to make some noise in the high stakes competition.

“Lethal Injection” The Mastodon Franciz and Doctor Hurtz. Can lightning strike a third time for the 375-pound Franciz who is looking to win his third tournament, this time with the returning Doctor Hurtz? Hurtz was one-half of the first IWF Tag Team Championship duo in 2000 and 2001. These mad men are looking to dish out their opposition a prescription for pain.

Rounding out the field are the rookie pairings of “The First-Team” Varsity Marc Corino and Austin Williams; and “Happy Trails” Hush Holiday and Uncle Pat. Can one of these teams make history by becoming the first rookie combination to win the tournament?

The four winning First-Round tag teams advance to the Semifinal Round, to be held the following evening on Saturday, June 26. Then, the two winning tag teams from the Semifinal Round advance to the Tournament Finals on this same evening. The winning duo will be crowned Commissioner’s Cup Tag Team Tournament winners.

Also on Saturday, June 26, the IWF Heavyweight Championship will be defended by either Fady the Arabian Bull or Hi-Definition Chris Steeler. Just who will walk into Commissioner’s Cup Day 2 with the top prize in the IWF?

Commissioner’s Cup contribution is $12 VIP Front Row, and $10 General Admission per event, and advance tickets are on-sale at www.WrestlingIWF.com. Tickets also available at the door 30-minutes before bell-time. Cards subject to change.

RAVEN IS COMING TO PWO WRESTLELUTION 3 – LOOKING TO COLLECT BANE BOUNTY

This past week on PWO TV, agent Aaron Maguire was clearly growing desperate. Despite a seven-month long bounty on the head of arch-nemesis Jason Bane, Maguire looked on as his 6’8″ rival, in by far the best shape of his career, was poised to challenge Johnny Gargano for the PWO Title. A desperate Maguire, who outright REFUSED to call a match that would see Bane capture the PWO Title, and thus make Maguire look like a fool, announced that his bounty had been upped – anyone who could rid Pro Wrestling Ohio of Jason Bane would now become $100,000 richer! The stakes were set, and so began one of the most tumultuous title bouts in PWO history.

As Bane and Johnny Gargano did battle, the ring began to become rather crowded, as nearly a dozen wrestlers emerged from the locker room looking on, many with two different motives – one being to catch Bane off-guard, and find a way to end his career and cash in big, the other being to watch Johnny Gargano, currently mired in a weeks-long series of allegations and rumors over back-jumping and sneak-attacking numerous wrestlers in recent weeks, rumors strengthened considerably by the recent reliable word of “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross. As Cross looked on from backstage, Bane beat Gargano mercilessly, perhaps to “teach a lesson” on behalf of the locker room, as much as it was to capture the championship, yet Gargano showed no quit and did not back down from the unstoppable onslaught. However, when the official was accidentally knocked down, the gates were opened and all hell broke loose. Bane & Gargano were forced to ban together to fight off the army of attackers, and once the coast had cleared, it almost seemed as if Bane’s opinion on Gargano was about to change. However, before any pleasantries could be exchanged, Aaron Maguire dropped a bombshell. Since no PWO star has been successful in eliminating Bane, Maguire will have to dig into his own pockets to hire the right man for the job. That man? Raven!

Raven is both famous and infamous as one of the most ruthless, sadistic, and brutal professional wrestlers in recent memory. A veteran of the sport, Raven first rose to major success in the original ECW, capturing their World Title numerous times, and engaging in classic rivalries with The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer. From there, Raven migrated to WCW, bringing a “flock” of misfits and rejects with him, and coining the term “Raven’s Rules” for his signature brand of no-disqualification, anything-goes matches. From there, Raven would stop by WWE, where he dominated their Hardcore division, capturing the title over two dozen times! In 2003, Raven debuted in TNA Wrestling, and in 2005 captured the historic NWA World Title live on pay-per-view.

Raven is a sinister, diabolical evil genius, a master of human psychology and mind games, and a man who enjoys violence, pain, and misery. He has broken bones, torn tendons, and crushed spirits just for fun, but on Sunday afternoon, August 1 at the Nautica Pavilion at “PWO Wrestlelution 3: A Defining Moment”, Raven will be paid handsomely by Aaron Maguire to carry out every sick, vile wish the agent may have. “Raven’s Rules” returns to Cleveland at PWO Wrestlelution, as Raven (accompanied by Aaron Maguire & personal bodyguard Mr. Brinks) goes one-on-one with Jason Bane. Can Raven carry out Maguire’s plan and eliminate Bane from PWO forever, or will Jason Bane survive another dastardly Aaron Maguire plan?

We will find out Sunday, August 1 at the Nautica Pavilion! Tickets are on sale now at the following locations…

Pro Wrestling Ohio TV airtimes this week –

Sunday night, June 27: 10:00 PM & 3:30 AM
Saturday, July 3: 3:30 AM

Scheduled line-up –

PWO Television Title – “Amazing” N8 Mattson defends against “Omega” Aaron Draven
“Amazing” N8, leader of the “Sons of Michigan” has taken great pride in claiming that “the best wrestler on television in Ohio is from Michigan!” and also in getting the best of former and first-ever PWO TV champion “Omega” Aaron Draven. Once N8 became “bored” with Omega, he dispatched Benjamin Boone to eliminate Draven, attacking him backstage and DDT-ing Omega onto a chair. While Omega was on the shelf for six weeks, he was able to recover and immediately target the Sons of Michigan upon his return. After defeating Michael Façade to re-claim #1 contendership to the PWO TV Title, Draven was granted another shot at the gold, much to Mattson’s dismay. Word has it N8 has placed a special provision in the contract of this match – this is the LAST time N8 Mattson and Aaron Draven will meet for the TV Title – no matter what! Will Omega prove orange is the new gold once again, or can N8 Mattson survive Draven one last time and be rid of him forever?

PWO Tag Team Titles – Sex Appeal defend against The Homeless Handicapped Connection
Gregory Iron & Hobo Joe have traveled a long road to earn this one shot, an opportunity nearly a year in the making. Ever since Sex Appeal, Bobby Shields, Bobby Beverly & Nicki Valentino, set out to eliminate “lesser beings” from PWO, Iron & Hobo knew they had to become a cohesive tag team to survive. Not only have they survived, they’ve thrived, forcing Dawn Decadence out of Sex Appeal & PWO altogether, and earning a shot at the PWO Tag Titles. A loss here would be a major blow to the ego of Sex Appeal, who feel they are superior, physically and mentally, to all others, especially PWO’s resident dumpster dweller and handicapped hero. Can Iron & Hobo achieve the impossible dream and win one for the little guy or can Sex Appeal continue their dominant reign atop tag team wrestling?

Marion Fontaine Demands Competition!
“Megastar” Marion Fontaine has been very public about his disdain and frustration toward PWO management, and how he feels his career has been mishandled and damaged almost beyond repair. Fontaine has taken it upon himself to attempt to get noticed, at the expense of his opponents, former friends, and the company as a whole. Fontaine has demanded an opponent – ANY opponent this week on television. Will Fontaine be able to showcase why he feels he’s the best wrestler PWO has today?

Krimson vs. Brian Bender
The embodiment of evil himself, Krimson, steps back into action against former PWO Tag Team Champion Brian Bender. Krimson was very influential a week ago, distracting Super Hentai to the point where Hentai was defeated by M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross, a shady ending to an epic bout. This week, Krimson looks to exploit another victim. Bender has been embroiled in a war of words with ex-partner Ernie Ballz over who truly carried the “Clash” team. Can a win over Krimson silence his critics? Or can Krimson’s reign of terror over all of PWO continue with another innocent victim?

Plus: PWO Champion Johnny Gargano will be in attendance, an injury update on Michael “The Bomber” Façade, words from Super Hentai, and more!
