Dragon Gate USA is pro wrestling’s premium product for its brand of athletic, cutting-edge wrestling. DGUSA is the American branch of Japan’s innovative Dragon Gate promotion. DGUSA just celebrated its first anniversary with a spectacular event in Philadelphia. DGUSA immediately earned the acclaim of critics and fans. Its first show, “Enter The Dragon,” won the 2009 Wrestling Observer Show Of The Year.
Already scheduled for the October 29th event are Open The Dream Gate Champion Masato Yoshino; Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk; the legendary Akebono; Shingo; YAMATO; Jon Moxley; Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw.
MAIN EVENT – Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk will defend the title against Shingo in the main event. The charismatic BxB Hulk has proved to be the most exciting newcomer to the Noth American scene with an explosive arsenal based on aerial attacks and hard kicks. The Open The Freedom Gate Championship is the top title in DGUSA. Hulk is the first and only champion. He won the belt last November in a tournament and has defeated a vast array of challengers. ‘BxB Hulk has been a great champion who Dragon Gate USA can be proud of”, DGUSA President Satoshi Oji said. “He is very popular and his wrestling style is very exciting. Shingo is his top rival and has risen as the number one contender. This is going to be a tremendous main event.”
Shingo has earned this title shot after defeating Hulk in a tag team match on September 26th in Milwaukee. He has already defeated Hulk this year in Japan in a non-title bout that many fans are calling the front runner for match of the year. Shingo is a former Open The Dream Gate Champion, which is the top championship in Japan. He is known for his power and high impact moves.

CIMA and Genki Horiguchi are two of the most respected veterans in Dragon Gate USA. CIMA and Horiguchi are the epitome of Dragon Gate tag team wrestling. CIMA and Horiguchi have not teamed in the United States in years.
