Here’s some photos of the HUGE independent show that was held on Saturday night in Nashville, TN. Saturday night, January 29th at the Fairgrounds Arena. I helped promote this card and the event was enthusiastically received by the Nashville mediea. The attendance was a legit 1700 people PAID. There were very few comps given out as this was a charity for the Make a Wish foundation. TNA ran the same venue back in November and had maybe 900 people in the building and Nashville is TNA’s home base. The event was heavily promoted as the Main Event was the end of a 30 year battle between MEMPHIS LEGENDS Jerry “the King” Lawler and SuperStar Bill Dundee with Dirty Dutch Mantell as the Special ref. Lawler won with a PILE DRIVER in 16 minutes. For the record, Mantell was a fair referee as he called it right down the middle.
Great night, great show, great promotion. The girl in the photos is named Abriellla who served as the GUEST RING GIRL FOR THE EVENT. She currently is training to wrestle at Dutch Mantell’s school in Mid Tenn and has a great chance to make it onto the Tough Enough series as she has been has already been contacted that there is interest in her This show will probably be the biggest independent show of the year.
Also appearing on the show were Wolfie D, Doug Gilbert, Kid Kash, Eric Young, Jocephis Brody, David Young, Sigmund, Drew Haskins, Tracy Smothers,, Derrick King, Brian Christoper, Kevin White and others.
I hope to have some more photos of the actual matches in the coming days. Hope you can use some of them.
