Joshua Michael passed this along:
IWF Premier Pro Wrestling Denver, CO Sunday July 17, 2011 “ONE LAST SHOW”
Press Release By: Joshua Michael
Over the past decade, Colorado independent wrestling has made giant strides
towards becoming a major power in the sports entertainment industry. Over the
years, local fans have been treated to the rise of hot up and coming talent, as
well as performances from nationally recognized superstars. During that time,
one of the most vital pieces to the puzzle has been IWF Premier Pro Wrestling.
Founded in 2001 by Tamera Halbeisen as the Independent Wrestling Federation,
this company has earned critical acclaim as one of the only indy wrestling
promotions owned and operated by a hispanic woman. On Sunday, July 17th 2011,
help us celebrate our history as we present “The Last Show” LIVE from the
Buffalo Rose in Golden, Colorado!
After 10 years of service, IWF Premier Pro Wrestling will go out in style with
one of their biggest events to date. Already signed for the show is a huge main
event, pitting the wildly popular IWF Premier Pro Champion, Rob Ryzin versus his
oldest friend in the business, “The Razorback” Jay Synn. These men broke in to
wrestling at the same time, and together worked as the formidable tag team, Hi
Rysk. However, over the years this friendship has turned bitter, and given birth
to a blood rivalry that Colorado has never seen before. Its only fitting that
they’re most important battle to date will come in the ring that launched the
careers of both men. Synn earned his title shot by defeating the entire IWF
Premier Pro roster just last month in a battle royal, and the Razorback would
love to claim his second championship at the company’s final show.
Co-headlining the event is the Colorado return of ‘Magnum’ Joey Ryan! It has
been over three years since the 2x Former Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Champion has
been to the centennial state, and this will mark his debut in an IWF ring. We
have received word that Ryan is being brought in for one specific purpose… to
be challenged by Trajan Ender. The former IWF Premier Pro Champion, and self
proclaimed “Best pure talent Colorado has ever produced”, wants to prove to the
world that he is also the “Best in the West”. When asked for comment, this is
what Trajan had to say. “You can’t argue with the career Ryan has had… he is
the best in the Western United States right now. On July 17th, I’m gonna take
that title from him.”
In addition, the top young talent in the region will also be on display. Newly
crowned IWF Premier Pro Tag Team Champions Noah Terrella and Jason Noel shocked
everyone in attendance with their victory over the powerhouse tag team of
Kincaide and Bronx just last month, and their titles will be on the line.
Michael Titus has guided this alliance to gold and the future is extremely
bright for the athletic tandem. The 2011 A3 Cup Champion, Prodigee will be in
action, and we can assume he has violent intentions in mind. Other stars include
Arik Angel, Damien Payne, Ronin, Rose Thorn, Johnny Crash, Jack Mecidol, Romero,
Sensei Dalton, Patrick McDaniel, Superstar, Aaron “The Candy” Mann, Juntsu, La
Bestia, Golden Star, Tony Ortega and many more! As always, this card is subject
to to change.
The Buffalo Rose is located at 1119 Washington Avenue in Historic Golden,
Colorado, just South of Highway 58. The doors for this event will open at 5:00
PM, and belltime is 6:00 PM. $10 advance tickets can be purchased online at
www.iwfpromotions.com, or you can buy tickets on the day of the show for just
$12. Children under 12 years old will receive a half price discount, and kids
under 6 are free! This is an all ages show, and will be a night of fun for the
entire family. Reasonably priced alcohol will be available to those with valid
ID, as will a full menu of appetizers and entrees for all. This event is general
admission seating, so arrive early for best seating. Come help us celebrate this
tremendous ocassion, and show your support for independent wrestling in the
rockies one last time!
Please help us by passing this on!

Exclusive interview: Morton talks with AWE
Kevin Nash could do some serious damage to Ricky Morton. Morton doesn’t argue that point.
“But I just didn’t fall off the back of a turnip truck,” said Morton in an exclusive interview with Awesome Wrestling Entertainment posted today to YouTube.
The lengthy interview with Morton will be webcast in five installments beginning today. Part two of the interview series will be webcast on Friday, July 15, at 2 p.m. The remaining segments will be webcast next week.
Morton agreed to the interview, he said today, because he wants to set the record straight on the controversy involving himself, AWE CEO Marvin Ward and former WWE and WCW World Champion Kevin Nash.
Morton recounted the first time he met Ward back when Ward was a young wrestler looking for a way to break into the business. “I could see it in his eyes and in his heart that he wanted this business so bad,” said Morton, who worked with Ward in WCW and then used Ward in Smoky Mountain Wrestling when Morton was a booker there for Jim Cornette.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when Morton saw a video interview with Ward in which Ward downed The Rock-n-Roll Express as being “overrated,” which sent Morton off. Morton confronted Ward at the AWE Training Center in Fishersville, Va., in May, and in the process of raising issue with Ward’s comment slapped him, igniting a war of words that has ensnared Nash, who Morton has been trying to coax into the ring for a match for 10 years.
Morton said in part one of the interview that he hasn’t talked to Nash since Morton’s release from WCW in the mid-1990s. Were he to speak to him now, he’d ask this question.
“Does he really know Marvin? Does he know what Marvin is capable of doing when a situation like this occurs?” Morton said.
