PWO: More Information on Gregory Iron, Who Was Publicly Endorsed By CM Punk This Weekend
Unquestionably, the hottest story in mainstream pro wrestling this year has been the unpredictable and anti-establishment behavior demonstrated by CM Punk. While Punk seemingly walked out on his former employer a week ago, he has still made his presence known throughout the wrestling world since. The entire internet is abuzz after Punk made his most recent public appearance at an AAW live event in Berwyn, Illinois. Punk took this opportunity, not to bury or criticize the folks at Stamford, CT, but to speak positively about a young handicapped wrestler named Gregory Iron. The video clip is all over the place online, but in case you haven’t seen it yet, Punk said the following of the 24-year-old “Handicapped Hero” with cerebral palsy…
“I apologize in advance for my language… you’re f***ing awesome. I can complain and b***h and moan about…trials & tribulations and working my a** off and watching my best friend get fired, and what I deserve and what he deserves, but you overcome more than I ever have just waking up every morning….. I saw something special watching you in this ring… This kid’s an inspiration. Give it up for Gregory Iron!”
But who exactly is Gregory Iron? A Cleveland, Ohio native and home-grown PWO Wrestling star, many of Greg’s proudest moments and defining life achievements have taken place on PWO’s weekly television show, Sunday nights at 10pm EST on Sports Time Ohio and our annual Wrestlelution supercards. But to appreciate where he is now, you must understand where he has been. Earlier this year on PWO TV, Greg discussed his tumultuous upbringing, the adversities he faced, and the concussion that nearly ended his life.
