Combat Zone Wrestling “Tournament of Death XI”

Yesterday, Combat Zone Wrestling held their annual “Tournament of Death” show in Townsend, DE on the farm of CZW owner, DJ Hyde. Due to new regulations by the Delaware State Athletic Commission, CZW had to spend thousands of dollars for its talent to get the necessary precautions for the show to be allowed to run. The show had an estimated turnout of 600 fans and the show will be made available as an iPPV later tonight at 8:00 PM EST on HybridENT.tv for $15.
So, now to the results:
1. Tournament of Death 1st Round, Drunken Scaffold Match (Wrestlers must “take a shot” after every nearfall & when someone goes on the scaffold): Danny Havoc defeated Devon Moore & Lucky thURteen by pinfall to advance to the semi-finals when he pinned Moore with a Death Valley Driver off the scaffold through a barbed wire board in the middle of the ring.
2. Tournament of Death 1st Round, Ultraviolent Ladders Match (dedicated to the memories of JC Bailey & Chris Cash): CZW Jr. Champion Drake Younger defeated Rory Mondo by pinfall to advance to the semi-finals with Drake’s Landing through a ladder.
3. Tournament of Death 1st Round, Panes of Glass Match: CZW World Champion MASADA defeated Scot Summers by pinfall to advance to the semi-finals with a Death Valley Driver onto a pair of cinderblocks.
4. Tournament of Death 1st Round, Ultraviolent Bats Match: Big Japan’s Abdyullah Kobyashi defeated “The Bulldozer” Matt Tremont by pinfall to advance to the semi-finals with a Top Rope elbow drop with a light tube thanks to interference from DJ Hyde.
– If Tremont had won the tournament, he would have finally gotten his one-on-one match with DJ Hyde.
5. Fans Bring the Weapons Match: Joe Gacy defeated Ryan Slater by pinfall.
6. Tournament of Death Semi-Finals, Caribbean Spider Web Death Match: CZW Jr. Champion Drake Younger defeated Danny Havoc by pinfall to advance to the finals after hitting Havoc with the Drake’s Landing through 2 chairs that had light tubes bridged across them and also were set on fire.
7. Tournament of Death Semi-Finals, Big Japan Death Match: CZW World Champion MASADA defeated Abduyllah Kobayshi by pinfall to advance to the finals with a moonsault onto a board of nails that were placed on top of Kobayshi.
8. Tournament of Death Finals, No Rope Barbed Wire Match with 2 sides of the ring having barbed wire nets placed between the apron & the barricade: CZW World Champion MASADA defeated CZW Jr. Champion Drake Younger by submission to win the tournament with a chair assisted STF.
– After the match, DJ Hyde comes out to give MASADA the trophy, but then Matt Tremont nails him with a light tube contrpation. Hyde recovers from the blow and then when he gives MASADA the trophy, he then lays him out with a lariat.
– The other wrestlers in the tournament come out and proceed to one after the other, nail Hyde with a light tube with one of them catching Hyde pretty bad underneath his arm.
– Hyde was rushed out of the ring and taken to a nearby ambulance that is on hand for all CZW Tournament of Deaths. According to CZW’s official Twitter page, Hyde got stitches but was able to avoid being taken to the hospital due to the ambulance being on hand in close proximity.
