Double main event! First time ever heavyweight showdown! MVP’s open challenge!
With a little less than a month until the second annual Fighting Back: Wrestling with Cancer event, all of us are excited to announce four HUGE matches set for the show!

First up, one of our massive Main Events – a grudge match between two men who helped steal last year’s show – and are two of the Ottawa area’s top talents.

Two men, who are probably closer to the Fighting Back cause than any others, and two men who know each other better than anybody in the Ottawa wrestling scene. Over the last 12 months, their feud dominated many shows. On August 17th, it ends.

There must be a winner. One fall to a finish. The Super Smash Brothers collide!

Main Event #1
“One Fall to a Finish” Grudge Match
“The Emperor” Stu Grayson
(aka Player Dos)
Vs.
Player Uno

Next up a major tag team match – one of Ontario’s most dominant teams up with the ‘Dominator!

After winning his fourth singles Championship on June 16th, 2012, Ontario’s undisputed top star, “Ronin” Josh Alexander, became a target of many people. The new C*4 Champion has been challenged by many people for the upcoming season of action – and on August 17th, at Fighting Back 2, two of those men will get their chance to prove themselves against Alexander.

Sebastian Suave, a man who has rocketed to near the top of the scene, with tons of potential, and clearly representing the former Champion’s interests, will appear on August 17th. He will be teaming with another man who clearly believes he deserves to be recognized as the best in the province. Sebastian Suave will partner with a man who has competed in virtually every major promotion in North America – “Textbook” Tyson Dux.

Alexander has told Fighting Back match-makers that he has recruited back-up for his match on August 17th… We are very excited to announce that former WWE superstar, Wrestlemania main-eventer, ECW World Champion, TNA wrestler, and MMA crossover competitor, BOBBY LASHLEY will step up and join Alexander.

Main Event #2
Special Challenge Tag Team Showdown
“The Dominator” Bobby Lashley
&
C*4 Champion
“Ronin” Josh Alexander
Vs.
“Textbook” Tyson Dux
&
“Iron Lion” Sebastian Suave

Next up for today, a major first-time-ever collision, between two Canadian Heavyweights … On one side of the ring, ROH superstar, locally loved, and one of the most powerful men in professional wrestling, “Unbreakable” Unbreakable Michael Elgin returns to Fighting Back competition.

Last summer, Elgin fought valiantly and ultimately fell to the “World Warrior”, Low-Ki.

Elgin told Fighting Back management that “this year, he is ready to make up for last summer’s loss.”

That plan might be easier said than done. On August 17th, Elgin will step in the ring with Harry “DH” Smith!

Smith the son of the legendary “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, and member of the Hart Family, as well as a former WWE World Tag Team Champion – comes to Ottawa looking for action.

Smith has been traveling the world since he left the WWE, and no doubt, will find one of his toughest opponents ever, right in his home country.

First time-ever!
“Unbreakable” Michael Elgin
Vs.
Harry Smith

Lastly for today, Fighting Back management has been told by one “MVP”
Michael Von Payton, that he also intends to make up for last year.

Von Payton feels he was humiliated by his loss against Tommy Dreamer, on the grand stage that was last year’s Fighting Back. MVP has told match-makers that he has an open contract ready for any former WWE or TNA superstar, willing to step into “his ring”.

More to come as this develops!

Open Challenge
