NPWS Internet News Update For Week Of 10/1: Former WWE Star The Godfather Debuts This Weekend, More October Show Details, And More
Hello NPWS fans! This is your weekly update on what’s happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation’s leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Pro Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows This Weekend

This Saturday night October 6th, NPWS returns to their favorite Jersey Shore venue, the Brick, NJ Elks Lodge (2491 Hooper Avenue, just off Route 70 and the Brick Plaza, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:35pm bell time.
This much-anticipated appearance in Brick will be headlined by three former TV stars. First, returning to the Jersey Shore for NPWS after nearly two years will be former ECW and WCW star Julio Dinero, with his beautiful and devious manager Miss Michelle by his side. And if that wasn’t enough right there, making his first ever appearance for NPWS will be former WWE TV superstar Charles Wright, better known to fans as the The Godfather.
And finally, former ECW hardcore icon John “Balls” Mahoney will return to Brick after a long absence… as a special guest referee for a hardcore grudge match, as the newly-crowned NPWS Hardcore Champion “The Bounty Hunter” Johnny Ringo will go one-on-one with “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto. Demanto attacked Ringo at the last Ocean County show, and The Bounty Hunter will be looking for revenge, in a match that NPWS management knows has the potential to get vicious, and brought in the only referee who can keep order in such a match.
But that will be far from the only grudge match. Corrupted Youth and Strife, whose differences cost them both a loss at the last Ocean County show, will settle their differences one-on-one in Brick. And another six-man tag-team grudge match that started in Ocean County will end here as well, as the trio of NPWS Tag-Team Champion “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & “Mr. Varsity” Jeff Noyze & “The Final Freebird” Damien Darling will take on former NPWS Heavyweight Champion Ray Ray Marz & “The Jersey Shore Lunatic” Slayer & manager-turned-wrestler “Big 80’s” Donnie V.
There will be appearances by NPWS Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, The Atomic Dog, Johnny Candido, A.C. Kewl, The M&M Boys (Mark Modest & Mike Matixx), The Lords Of Rock And Roll (“Retro Rocker” Rikki Roxx & The Jersey Kidd), manager Gigalo Joe Jones, and much more.
Tickets are only $21 for adults and $19 for kids & seniors.

Other Upcoming Shows

Friday night October 12th, NPWS returns to the Union, NJ Elks Lodge (281 Chestnut Street, in the Five Points Section, minutes from the Parkway and Route 22), with a 7:45pm bell time.
The main event will feature a three-way battle for supremacy. In one corner will be Union’s own former NPWS Tag-Team Champion and current Junior Heavyweight Champion, “Jersey Shore Jock” Mike Dennis, and in another corner will be another title holder, NPWS Jersey Shore Champion “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans. Those two NPWS veterans will both be trying to prove themselves against the third man in the ring, a former WWE Tag-Team & Intercontinental & U.S. Champion and TNA star, the master of the “Twist Of Fate”, the one and only Matt Hardy. Another of Union’s favorite sons, former NPWS Tag-Team Champion Chris D’Andrea, will return to NPWS action that night, as he teams up with the popular “Hillbilly” Justin Blackwell against the formidable duo of “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto & Mister Nick Gregory. And for this huge grudge match, NPWS management has gone out and hired a special guest referee for this match who is guaranteed to not let anything get out of hand… none other than former ECW hardcore icon John “Balls” Mahoney. And yet another pair of local favorites, Tough Tony Scorace & Steve “The Gipper” Gipke, will once again team up to take on rivals “Too Hot” Steve Scott & “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, in a “Falls-Count-Anywhere” Match (which will keep the fans on their toes as well as the wrestlers). There will also be a “Brother vs. Brother” matchup between Ryan Angus and Kyle Angus, plus appearances by special guest manager Johnny Candido, Chris “Boom Boom” Powers, Nick Talent, Adam Eltooney, Alex Winter (formerly The Lonesome Dove), Snake-Eyes, The Wasp, and more. Tickets are price at only $20 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.

Saturday night October 13th, NPWS returns to the South Brunswick, NJ High School Gym (750 Ridge Road, minutes from U.S. Routes 1 and 130), with a 7:35pm bell time.
Headlining NPWS’ return to South Brunswick will be not just one, or even two, but *three* former TV wrestling superstars. First off will be an original ECW hardcore legend, “The Innovator Of Violence” Tommy Dreamer, followed by recent WWE and ECW and TNA TV superstar Matt Hardy, both making their first South Brunswick area appearances. And finally, making his first appearance anywhere in NPWS after a long absence and illness will be a true wrestling legend, a WWE Hall Of Famer, a former WWE World Heavyweight & Tag-Team Champion, and a WrestleMania star going all the way back to the very first WrestleMania, the one and only Iron Sheik. The mysterious Mor-Ta-Da (a tribute character to former WCW star Mortiss) will also be coming to South Brunswick. There will also be an NPWS Tag-Team Title Match, as the popular duo of “Retro Rocker” Rikki Roxx & South Brunswick’s hometown hero The Jersey Kidd, better known as The Lords Of Rock ‘N Roll, will challenge the two-time long-reigning NPWS Tag-Team Champions The 2 Rude Dudes, “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & Rampage Rogers. There will also be appearances by other NPWS champions, including Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, Junior Heavyweight Champion “Jersey Shore Jock” Mike Dennis, and Jersey Shore Champion “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans, plus other regional and local pro mat stars such as “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto, Eddie “Spaghetti” Franken, The Funky White Boy, “The White Urkel” B. Fehrm, Big Smith James, and much more Tickets are at the special discounted price of only $20 for the first two V.I.P rows at Ringside, $15 open Ringside seats, and $12 for Bleacher seats.

Saturday night October 20th, NPWS returns to the the Manville, NJ V.F.W. Hall (600 Washington Avenue, just off Main Street, minutes from Routes 22 and 287), with a 7:35pm bell time.
The main event for this long awaited return will be a battle between two very different superstars (and that’s a major understatement) as the stone-faced ghastly Mor-Ta-Da (a tribute character to former WCW star Mortiss) will go one-on-one with the former WWE TV superstar making a rare area appearance, the flamboyant and mysterious Dustin “Goldust” Runnels. But NPWS shows in Manville have excitement from top to bottom, and this show will be no exception. The NPWS Tag-Team Titles will be on the line as the current champions The 2 Rude Dudes (“Corrupted” Corey Havoc & Rampage Rogers) will take on challengers The Lords Of Rock And Roll (“Retro Rocker” Rikki Roxx & The Jersey Kidd). And another pair of big men will do battle as northeast veteran and bad boy “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto will go one-on-one with local favorite Jeff “Cannonball” Guerrero in a grudge match as they continue their violent feud. There will also be appearances by NPWS Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, Chikara Wrestling star Frightmare, “G.Q.” Myke Quest, and much more. Tickets are only $20 for adults, $18 for kids and seniors.

Friday night October 26th, NPWS returns to Carteret, NJ’s Divine Mercy Parish Hall (213 Pershing Avenue, just off Washington & Roosevelt Avenues, minutes from the Turnpike), with a 7:45pm bell time.
Headlining this long-awaited return to Carteret will be a battle that can only be described as “Bones Vs. Worms”, as the stone-faced and ghastly Mor-Ta-Da (a tribute character to the former WCW star Mortiss) goes one-on-one with the worm-eating former WWE star Marty Wright, better known as The Boogeyman. There will also be appearances by the NPWS Cruiserweight and Junior Heavyweight Champions, and much more, including a guest appearance from Firefighter Joe Davis. Plus, as it’s Halloween weekend, there will be a Halloween Costume Contest, with prizes for kids and adults.
Tickets are price at only $20 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.

Saturday night October 27th, NPWS returns to Long Branch, NJ’s Seashore Broadway Gym (404 Broadway, just off Route 36, minutes from the Parkway), with a 7:35pm bell time.
The Long Branch fans will be treated to a “Bones Vs. Worms” rematch between Mor-Ta-Da and The Boogeyman. There will also be a Triple-Threat Match for the NPWS Jersey Shore Title, an inter-gender tag-team grudge match, and much more. Plus, as it’s Halloween weekend, there will be a Halloween Costume Contest, with prizes for kids and adults. Tickets are price at only $20 for adults and $17 for kids & seniors.
