CHIKARA’s annual visit to NC is this Sunday afternoon!
CHIKARA is making just one stop in NC this year – originally planned for Burlington, we are now headed for Gibsonville (just a few minutes up the road) this Sunday afternoon, October 7th! All your favorite CHIKARA stars will be there when we play The New Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium at 4:00 p.m. Dont forget – all kids 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult! Here’s what we have in store for you at “The Zodiac Crimes”:
1) A Mega Main Event!
-The Batiri (Obariyon, Kodama) and Ophidian attempted every dirty trick in the book to prevent The Spectral Envoy (Ultramantis Black, Hallowicked, and Frightmare) from winning King of Trios 2012 – what will Delirious’ minions pull out of their sleeve when these teams explode on October 7th?
2) Singles Showdown!
-Wrestle Factory head trainer Mike Quackenbush has been merciless in taking out the members of GEKIDO that pose a threat to the men and women he’s trained. First it was 17, then combatANT – will The Shard be the next to taste his cold recipe for justice?
3) Points in Play!
-Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur looks to prove that his CHIKARAbermetrics are the winning formula when he teams up Solder Ant and deviANT against Tim Donst and Jakob Hammermeier. Valuable points are on the line toward CHIKARA’s Campeonatos de Parejas!
4) One on One!
-Kobald dropped a “Demon’s Toilet” on Gran Akuma this year at King of Trios 2012 – can Akuma avenge his loss in singles action?
5) Tag Team Warfare!
-Both teams are looking to gain pivotal points toward the coveted Campeonatos de Parejas. Who will prevail at ” The Zodiac Crimes,” The Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield & “Mr. Touchdown” Mark Angelosetti) or The Bravado Brothers (Lancelot Bravado & Harlem Bravado)?
6) A Rivarly Renewed!
-The story of The Colony and F.I.S.T. dates back years in CHIKARA lore, but the players have changed – as this match exemplifies! Added to The Colony by Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur, assailANT now joins Fire Ant and Green Ant against Icarus, Chuck Taylor and reluctant “waterboy” Sugar Dunkerton!
7) Calling All Cowboys and Outlaws!
-The Mysterious and Handsome Stranger has an open CHIKARA contract at “The Zodiac Crimes.” Who will Stranger face, and will his mystery opponent be able to derail Stranger’s winning ways?
8) First Time Ever!
-Amber O’Neal returns to CHIKARA after 10+ years to tackle the fast-rising rookie and intergalactic luchadora, Saturyne!

1.) “Ariel Assassin” Christopher Bishop def. El Hijo del Bigote with a Phoenix Splash
2.) “S.O.B.” John Greed def. Abe “Action” Jackson with a Double Underhook Neckbreaker.
Afterwards, Greed called out Tyson Dux, apparently looking after a re-match from their Pros vs Joes matchup.
3.) Cherry Bomb def. Gabriella Vanderpool with a Superkick
4.) BLK Jeez def. Lionel Knight(replacing Tyson Dux who suffered a hamstring injury) following a Jumping Flatliner
5.) “Rocksteady” Alex Vega def. “Limitless” Marcus Marquez by DQ after Marcus used the referee as a shield.
Afterwards, Marquez low blowed Vega then threw him head first into a steal chair.
6.) “Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes def. “Psycho” Mike Rollins in a hard hitting contest
7.) Gym Rats 2.0 retained their Tag Team Championships against AEROFORM in a jaw dropping action packed match up.
8.) “The Ronin” Josh Alexander def. Pepper Parks and the 2012 Adrenaline Cup Champion: Brent Banks to win the Premier Championship.
Before the match, James Korderas announced that he was going to be the special guest ref for the main event.
James Korderas found himself at the end of a roaring elbow from The Ronin after some shady behavior.
A replacement referee quickly ran into the ring and counted Josh Alexanders pinfall on Pepper Parks awarding him the PREMIER CHAMPIONSHIP!!
