Indy News #9: September 13 (ACW #2)

ACW Welterweight Championship
(c) “Serious Business” Andy Header vs Team Awesome’s Alan Cross

ACW Welterweight Champ “Serious Business” Andy Header faces one of his biggest challenges for his title as he takes on Team Awesome’s Alan Cross. Header has held the Welterweight title for over a year now, and has defended his title on his own and with his manager, ECW’s Hat Guy, by his side.

However, he is taking on a tough competitor in Cross, who went through 20 other wrestlers in a battle royal last month. Cross is no stranger to championships, as he’s held numerous singles and tag titles during his career. Both men bring a world of experience into this match, and it is sure to be a high-flying affair with fast-paced action. Can Header retain his title, or will Cross bring a title back to Team Awesome?

Who knows who will be ringside for this match, as ECW’s Hat Guy may have trouble interferring if Team Awesome’s Ashley Nicely and Heavy D in the same area.

Atomic Championship Wrestling Woman’s Championship
ACW Career vs final title shot – no outside interference – there will be a winner
(c) Miss Dixie vs Team Awesome’s Ashley Nicely

Dixie and Nicely have had multiple battles for the women’s title – with some matches involving multiple participants. However, Dixie has managed to hold onto her title for close to a year. Some of her victories were clean, while some included interference from individuals such as Dennis Reaper and IB Green.

Nicely petitioned the ACW management and has demanded one final title shot against Dixie. ACW management decided that if NIcely was asking for one final title show, the decision was made to put an end to this feud once and for all.

So the stipulations were made, and it is ACW career versus final title shot, and to make this match as fair as possible, there will be no outside inference whatsoever. That means Dixie can’t have anyone associated with her at ringside, nor can Nicely have fellow Team Awesome stablemates Alan Cross and Heavy D out there as well.

This will be a fight to the finish, and someone will be ending their ACW career Saturday night, September 19 in Stevens, Pa. Will it be Miss Dixie or Ashley Nicely?
