WSW ? WORLD STARS OF WRESTLING is proud to present ?WSW European Championship ? Portugal 2009? on Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th, at the Portim?o Arena in Portim?o, Portugal.
The two night, single elimination style tournament, will crown a new European Champion. Featuring stars from the European wrestling scene, from qualifications throughout Europe, including two current champions and five former champions.
Apart from the tournament, Portuguese and European wrestling fans will be able to see in action and in living colour the world champion in WWE and ECW and star of the upcoming action motion picture ?Wrong Side of Town? : ROB VAN DAM; Tag team champions in WWE : Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch; Star in WWE and TNA : Joe E. Legend, amongst many others.

From Germany : ECW original and a world champion in many countries : ULF HERMAN;
From the United Kingdom : Multiple times UK Champion and a star in TNA and ROH : ?The WonderKid? JONNY STORM;
From Spain : the current APW Champion, ?The Latin Heartbreaker?, JUAN CASANOVA;
From the United Kingdom : Multiple times UK Champion and star in ROH, considered by many one of the premier high flyers in the World: “Pheonix” JODY FLEISCH;
From Holland : the current DSW Champion : KENZO RICHARDS;
From Portugal, representing his home country and home town: Former Portuguese Champion and 1st ever Portuguese Cup holder : MAD DOG
From the United Kingdom : Former 1PW Openweight Champion, JOHNNY MOSS;
The eight participant will be a Wild Card invited by WSW management.
The quarter finals will take place on Friday, September 11th with a 9pm bell time; Semi finals and Final will take place on Saturday, September 12th, also with a 9pm bell time.
During both days, at the Portim?o Arena, starting at 8pm, fans can participate on a Fan Fest featuring some of the talent, including Rob Van Dam and Lance Cade, with Autograph Sessions, as well as other activities.
Also in action during the two days : From South Africa ? ?Gracious? Gabriel DeRose; The Archangel; from Portugal : Ultra Psycho; Arte Gore; the supreme High Flyer, Seth Bollinger; and the WSW Divas : Dianna Dark, Joanna ?Lightning? Gault and Miss Sylvie, and many others.
Featured on the card will also be the first qualifying matches for the Portuguese Cup (Ta?a Tarzan Taborda) and the WSW World Title will be up for grabs.
