Report: Cost cutting in Ring of Honor

There is said to be lots of cost cutting going on within Ring of Honor. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that pay for some of the wrestlers has been cut, while other talent were pulled from the last set of TV tapings this weekend on Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia. Others have been asked to drive longer distances into Philadelphia instead of flying.

During the recent shows in Toronto, several talents were flown into Buffalo and asked to drive to Toronto to save costs. It should also be noted that a number of checks began bouncing in recent weeks, but owner Cary Silken made good on all of them. The company has canceled an event in Boston originally scheduled for this November, while an event scheduled for Edison, NJ was changed and moved up around the next set of TV tapings. This may be related to the Dragon Gate USA event on November 28 in Philadelphia.
