NJPW Wrestle Kingdom mentioned in episode of ABC’s “Black-ish”

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom PPV event was mentioned in the latest episode of the hit comedy “Black-ish”, which aired Tuesday night on ABC.

The sitcom shared the clip on Twitter from the episode where Junior is explaining to his father the reason there is a hole in the wall is because he and his brother were trying to recreate the classic Wrestle Kingdom Okada-Tanahashi match.

The dialogue from the clip taken from show is as follows:

“Well we tried to recreate the classic Wrestle Kingdom Okada – Tanahashi match…I went for the Rainmaker and I accidentally threw him into the wall.”

“Black-ish”, is in its sixth season, and stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, and Marsai Martin. 

NJPW star Kazuchika Okada retweeted the clip and wrote, “Thanks for the shout out @blackishabc”
