Fred Rosser signs exclusive deal with NJPW

Former WWE Superstar Fred Rosser (Former WWE Superstar Darren Young) has officially signed an exclusive agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Rosser made his debut this past March in the National Wrestling Alliance.  He appeared at the company’s When Shadows Fall PPV back on June 6, losing to former WWE Superstar JTG. He appeared in a Triple Threat Match with JTG and El Rudo at last week’s NWA TV tapings, which will air on a later episode of Powerrr. His new exclusive deal with NJPW likely means that he is done making any future appearances for the NWA.

Rosser appeared in WWE from May 2009 to October 2017. He is a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Titus O’Neil. Rosser is best known in WWE as part of the Nexus faction that competed on Raw from June 7, 2010 to August 22, 2011, which originally consisted of eight rookies of NXT season one.

Rosser first appeared with NJPW in September 2020 at the NJPW Strong show. His last appearance in NJPW match was on the May 21 NJPW Strong show, where he won by disqualification to over HIKULEO.
