NJPW announces departure of top star

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the departure of Hiromu Takahashi, who has been a part of the promotion’s Junior Heavyweight division.

He first signed with NJPW in August of 2010. Hi accomplishments in the promotion are as follows:

-IWGP Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with Tetsuya Naito
-IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship (5 times)
-NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with Yota Tsuji and Bushi
-Best of the Super Juniors in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
-World Tag League in 2024 with Tetsuya Naito

Hiromu Takahashi to leave NJPW

Thank you for supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

After careful consideration and discussions with NJPW management, Hiromu Takahashi, who has been a long standing member of the NJPW roster will leave New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

We apologise to fans for the sudden nature of this announcement. Hiromu’s final scheduled appearance with NJPW will be at New Beginning in Osaka on February 11.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling wishes Hiromu Takahashi the very best in his future activities and invites fans to show their support on his remaining appearances with NJPW.-
