Power Struggle line-up

New Japan on Tuesday released the following matches that are set for the November 5th “Power Struggle” iPPV in Osaka:

* IWGP Intercontinental Title: Tetsuya Naito (c) vs. Michael Elgin

* IWGP Tag Team Titles: The Guerrillas of Destiny (c’s) vs. Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI

* NEVER Title: Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. EVIL

* IWGP Jr. Title: BUSHI (c) vs. KUSHIDA

* G-1 Revenge Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. SANADA

* IWGP Jr. Tag Titles: The Young Bucks (c’s) vs. the winners of the 2016 Jr. Tag League

Jr. Tag League matches

New Japan announced on Tuesday the following first-round matches for the Jr. Tag League that begins on their October 21st live event:

* IWGP Jr. Tag Champions The Young Bucks vs. ACH and Taiji Ishimori (NOAH)

* Titan and Angel de Oro (CMLL) vs. RPG Vice

* Jushin Liger and Tiger Mask IV vs. Ryusuke Taguchi and Fuego (CMLL)

* Gedo and Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet and David Finlay Jr.

Semi-finals will take place on the October 30th NJPW live event.

Elgin eye injury

NJPW and ROH star Michael Elgin posted the following on Twitter on Monday, revealing that he suffered an eye injury during his match on the New Japan King of Pro Wrestling iPPV on Monday at Sumo Hall in Tokyo, after taking a boot to the face by IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito:

Elgin has since revealed that he suffered an orbital blowout fracture of his eye that will likely require surgery. It is unknown at this time how long Elgin will be out of action and if his announced IWGP Intercontinental Title rematch with Tetsuya Naito at the November 5th “Power Struggle” iPPV in Osaka will take place.
