Variety is reporting that Netflix has renewed “GLOW” for a third season on the streaming service, just two months after the premiere of the second season.
The official Twitter account for GLOW also confirmed the news today.

The first season of the show, based on the real-life 1980s all-women’s wrestling promotion, was nominated for eight Primetime Emmy Awards.
While Netflix doesn’t release viewership data, Variety reported (citing industry sources) that it was “not among Netflix’s most watched” when it comes to popular series on the streaming network. However, it was always valued for its creative direction.
Former TNA and WWE star Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong/Kharma) has been a character on the show since season one. The series has also featured other pro wrestlers including Carlito, Chavo Guerrero, Alex Riley, Brodus Clay, John Morrison, Joey Ryan, Laura James, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Brooke Hogan.
