Results from last night’s New Japan Pro Wrestling Fighting Spirit Unleashed event that took place in Long Beach, California and aired live on NJPW World.

A replay of the show will air on AXS TV this Friday (October 5).

Jushin “Thunder” Liger, ACH and Ryusuke Taguchi def. Roppongi 3K and Rocky Romero

Taguchi got the pin on Romero after ACH took out 3K with a suicide dive.

The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) def. Hangman Page and Chase Owens

Daniels and Kazarian took out Owens to setup a BME by Daniels on Page for the win.

Jeff Cobb, Chris Sabin and Flip Gordon def. Best Friends and Hirooki Goto

Cobb hit a lariat on Chuckie to pick up the pinfall. After the match, Goto confronted Cobb.

Zack Sabre Jr. and Killer Elite Squad def. Tetsuya Naito, EVIL and SANADA

Sabre got the pin on EVIL after escaping an STO and hitting a bridge for the pinfall.

Jay White and Gedo def. Hiroshi Tanahashi and KUSHIDA

White got the pin on Tanahashi after hitting the Bladrunner.

Marty Scurll def. Will Ospreay

Finish saw Scurll hit a series of combos including a chicken wing suplex into a package sidewalk slam. Scurll then got the win with the Graduation on Ospreay. With the win, Scurll will now face KUSHIDA at King of Pro Wrestling for the IWGP Jr. Title.

The Guerillas of Destiny def. The Young Bucks to become the new IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions

The Bucks went for the Meltzer Driver, but Tama Tonga hit the Gun Stun (aka RKO) on Nick and the another on Matt to get the pinfall to become the new champions.


NWA World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes def. Juice Robinson to become the new IWGP United States Champion

The finish saw Juice connect with a superplex off the top rope, but Cody hooked his legs on the impact and got a cradle pinfall to become the champion.


The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi) def. Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii

Omega and Ibushi picked up the win with a Golden Trigger, setup by a headbutt by Ibushi on Ishi. After the match, Omega said it wasn’t the best night for the Bullet Club and apologized to The Young Bucks. Cody walked out and asked the crowd if they want to see the rematch: Cody vs. Omega vs. Ibushi. This seemed to setup a triple threat for Kings of Pro Wrestling.
