Cody Rhodes calls Jeff Jarrett’s GFW a “disaster”, Talks winning the IWGP United States Title

Video has been uploaded (above) to YouTube of Cody Rhodes talking with press at Sunday’s NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed event in Long Beach, California.

Cody, the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion, spoke with media in the room about defeating Juice Robinson to become the new IWGP United States Champion and what it meant to him with Robinson having worked with his father previously in NXT.

Cody also talked about the smart choice Billy made to go with him to represent his NWA brand now that he has added another belt to his collection heading into the upcoming NWA 70th Anniversary event in Nashville when he faces Nick Aldis in a rematch from ALL IN.

He also describes Jeff Jarrett’s former GFW promotion as being a “disaster.” Jarrett, who’s Global Force Entertainment now works exclusively with FITE TV, is helping to promote the 70th Anniversary event in Nashville along with Billy Corgan.

Him (Nick Aldis) and Jeff Jarrett are essentially putting on their version of ALL IN. That’s sweet. Jeff’s sweet. He wants his revenge over the GFW disaster, which was partially my fault. I just mailed him the belt back. Guess what Jeff? Show up, sit in the front row and I’ll beat your boy 1-2-3, pick him up and beat him 1-2-3 again.
