Marty Scurll to cash in ROH World Title shot at G1 Supercard event at MSG

Marty Scurll is officially cashing in his shot at the ROH Championship.

During a press conference streamed hours ago on ROH’s YouTube channel (video above), a contract signing was held between current ROH Champion Jay Lethal and Matt Taven for the upcoming 17th Anniversary event this Friday in Las Vegas.

Scurll showed up towards the end announcing he would cash in his title opportunity at the joint ROH/New Japan G1 Supercard event on April 6 at the sold out Madison Square Garden airing live during WrestleMania 35 weekend.

Scurll won ROH’s Survival of the Fittest tournament last November to earn the title opportunity. ROH has been doing an angle between Lethal and Taven, where Taven claimed to be the “real” ROH World Champion carrying around a fake championship. Lethal ended up destroying the championship during a recent television taping.
