ROH Summer Supercard Results from Toronto

Quick results from Friday night’s Summer Supercard held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ontario Canada, and streamed live on HonorClub and FITE TV.

ROH Summer Supercard 2019 Results

The show opened up with a 10-bell salute to Harley Race as the ROH roster on hand bowed in silence around ringside.

Villain Enterprises (PCO and Brody King) defeated The Kingdom (Vinny Marseglia and TK O’Ryan).

After the match the Kingdom and the Bouncers brawled outside the ring. Milonas threw a beer at The Kingdom got beer all over the camera lens. 

PJ Black and Silas Young went to a no-contest

After the match Black got on the mic and said he was disappointed because he really wanted to wrestle. He then made reference to some of the un-booked talent and said “what about Cheeseburger?” which got a nice reaction.  Marty Scurll’s music then hit and the crowd lost it.  Scurll took Black up on his open challenge.

Both men traded near-falls until Scurll hit the Black Plague for the win.  

Kelly Klein (c) defeated Tasha Steelz to retain the Women of Honor Championship

At the close of the match Steelz did a cutter and both women were out for a minute, then Klein came back and did K-Power for the win. After the match Klein went to shake Steelz’ hand, but was interrupted when Angelina Love from the Allure came out and took both women out with Botox Injection kicks.

It should be noted that ROH has been doing this angle with Love at almost every show since the G1 Supercard PPV at Madison Square Garden.

Mark Haskins and Bandido defeated Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal via submission 

Next is Shane Taylor (c) defending the Ring of Honor Television Championship against Lifeblood Member Tracey Williams 

Flip Gordon came out and jumped Tracey Williams during his ring entrance.  Gordon used an all-black kendo stick. Ian Riccaboni then announced that the match has been postponed until a later date.

Rush defeated Dalton Castle in a No Disqualification Match

Following the No DQ match Tracey Williams came out selling his injury and called Shane Taylor out for their Television Title Match. Taylor defeated Williams with the Greetings from 216 for the win. 

Caristico, Sobreano Jr. & Stuka Jr. defeated Barbaro Cavernario, Templario & Hechicero via submission

Caristico tapped Cavernario with La Mistica for the submission. 

Matt Taven (c) defeated Alex Shelley to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship

Taven hit the Climax on Shelley pinning him clean to retain the ROH World Championship.

The Briscoes (c) (Jay & Mark Briscoe) defeated Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships in Ladder Wars

Jay and Tonga fought at the top of a ladder in the ring, punching each other until Jay knocked Tonga off. Jay then grabbed one of the title belts hanging above to retain the ROH Tag Team Championships.
