Fenix suffers leg injury at independent show, AEW All Out Ladder Match may be in jeopardy

Rey Fenix injured

Rey Fenix of the AAA Tag Team Champions The Lucha Bros injured his leg last night at a Big Time Wrestling event in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

The Lucha Bros are scheduled to take on The Young Bucks in a Ladder Match at AEW All Out. This match may be in jeopardy now.

Fenix was teaming with his brother, Pentagon Jr., against Teddy Hart and Juventud Guerrera at the event. Fenix picked Guerrera up when he collapsed and started grabbing his leg. Fenix was brought to the back. An audible was called as Guerrera quickly pinned Pentagon. Pentagon then ran to the back to be with his brother.

Initial reports on the situation were that Fenix broke his leg, but those were not true. Fenix was able to walk on the injured leg, but he experienced weakness in the limb. Fenix was hoping it was just a sprain and he would be able to be at AEW All Out next Saturday, August 31. The injury has yet to be examined.

This news comes on the heels of Jon Moxley being pulled from All Out due to a serious case of MRSA in his elbow. Moxley was supposed to take on Kenny Omega, and he has been replaced by PAC.

Wrestleview will continue to update you on the story as more becomes available.
