Sports Illustrated is featuring an interview with AEW star Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes talks about his thoughts on AEW’s television show on TNT going head-to-head with NXT on USA Network in the so-called Wednesday Night Wars.
“It’s all about us putting on a damn good product and giving another option. I don’t consider us going to war with anybody. I know there will be talk about the ratings, but the focus should be on putting out the best talent we can put out on TNT. It’s going to be a lot of fun and, if you’re not coming along for the ride, I feel for you.”
Rhodes also spoke about not competing at AEW All Out on Saturday, his brother Cody’s match against Shawn Spears, and his acting career taking off.
Rhodes last competed at AEW Fight For The Fallen in a tag team match with Cody against The Young Bucks in a losing effort. Rhodes also had a highly praised match against his brother at AEW Double or Nothing.
