Quick results from Friday night’s Final Battle PPV event held at the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore, MD and streamed live on HonorClub and FITE TV.

ROH FINAL BATTLE HOUR ONE – FREE BROADCAST

Announcers were Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman and Colt Cabana.

Josh Woods & Silas Young vs. Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry

Castle had two Boys with him, but not his usual “The Boys.”

Woods nailed Castle with a T-Bone Tazplex and scored the win for his team.

Post Match: Backstage, Brian Zane interviewed The Allure backstage and asked Angelina Love if she was afraid of Maria Manic.  Love asked him if he knew how long she’s been in the business – 20 years and that She’s a seven-time Women’s World champion.  She then told him he was sweating and to leave her alone.

Alex Shelley then came out and said Baltimore has been a mainstay city for ROH since the beginning and thanked the fans.  He then went on to say to the fans that said that ROH is pro wrestling’s greatest classroom and there has been lots of wrestlers that show a little bit about themselves and go on to their greatest work.  Shelley said sometimes the greatest students come back, specifically naming Jay Lethal and The Briscoes.

Shelley said that sometimes they come back and they take on different positions behind the scenes.  

Shelly then said that ROH is home to one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time but he doesn’t have a match tonight, naming current NWA National Champion Colt Cabana.  He said that whether people realize this or not, he’s never wrestled Cabana one on one, so he challenged Colt to a match.  Cabana came out joked that Shelley would have to see him after class.  

Cabana then said he appreciates being called out and Shelley’s skills, but just came back from a long New Japan tour, a little bit of his heart sank when he saw he wasn’t wrestling tonight.  He said if the officials and fans are OK with it, they can add another match to the show.  He told Shelley he is one of the greatest technical wrestlers and he’d love nothing more than to put on a technical wrestling clinic tonight.  Cabana accepted the challenge.

Final Battle Pay-Per View

Kenny King (with Amy Rose) vs. Rhett Titus

Amy Rose grabbed Titus’ leg, allowing King to drill Titus and pin him with Royal Flush for the win.

Post Match: Brian Zane interviewed The Bouncers at ringside asking them what they thought of the show.  They put it over and played to the crowd, but there was no reaction.  They were then asked to predict the winner of the main event and began to argue when they couldn’t agree who was going to win.

Dan Maff vs. Jeff Cobb

Cobb escaped Maff’s Burning Hammer and hit the  Tour of the Islands twice to score the pin.

Next is Villain Enterprises in action.

Marty Scurll & Flip Gordon vs. Bandido & Flamita 

Bandido hit a big knee strike on Gordon.  Flamita then superkicked Scurll and scored the pin.

Next up in Matt Taven vs. Vincent

Matt Taven vs. Vincent.

Vincent drilled Taven with a cutter off the ropes and scored the pin.

Post Match: Bateman showed and announcers wondered why he was out there.  He began assisting Vincent.  Bateman and Vincent placed a wooden block under Taven’s ankle and smashed his leg with a chair.  Taven writhed in agony.  Bateman then showed a red V drawn on his wrist tape and the announcers wondered if that meant five of them were coming.

Next match on the card is Bully Ray and Mark Haskins in a Street Fight.

Haskin’s nailed a big stomp off the top rope for the pin.

Next is Alex Shelley and Colt Cabana

Shelley trapped Cabana on the mat and scored the pin.

A video package aired featuring Maria Manic vs. Angelina Love.

Manic wins by submission after a torture rack on Love.

Next up is the ROH World Television Championship Match.

ROH TV Champion Shane Taylor vs. Dragon Lee

After Lee pulled down his kneepad he hit’s Lee with the a shining wizard for the victory and is the new ROH World Television Champion.

PJ Black is on commentary for the Tag Team Championship Match.

ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes vs. Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham

The Briscoes went for their Doomsday Device finisher, but Greshm nailed Mark.  Lethal rolled up Jay and hooked the tights for the victory to as Lethal and Gresham are the new ROH World Tag Team Champions.

Final match of the night is next, which is the ROH World Championship Match.

ROH Champion Rush vs. PCO – No Rules Friday the 13th Massacre Match

After Rush returned to the ring but was caught with a chokeslam.  PCO then placed him on the table for the win and is the new ROH World Champion.

PCO defeated Rush to become the new ROH World Champion

It was noted that at age 51, PCO becomes the oldest ROH Champion in company history.
