Sean Mooney joins the NWA

The NWA announced on Twitter Monday that former WWF/E announcer Sean Mooney has joined the promotion.

Sean Mooney debuted for the WWF on the May 15, 1988 episode of Wrestling Challenge, replacing Craig DeGeorge.

He left the WWF in April 1993 after his contract expired and he opted not to renew it.

Mooney reappeared on WWE television in October 2005 during the pre-show of WWE Raw Homecoming on the USA Network, and again during Raw 1000 which took place on July 23, 2012 when he interviewed Daniel Bryan backstage.

He was hired by KVOA TV News 4 in 2012 as a weekend news anchor.  In addition, he also hosts a podcast on the MLW Radio Network called Prime Time with Sean Mooney.

Sean Mooney will make his first appearance on today’s episode of Powerrr that will be available on the NWA’s YouTube Channel beginning at 6:05 pm ET.
