ESPN PR announced Sunday on Twitter the XFL’s kickoff game Saturday on ABC drew and average of 3.3 million viewers.
ESPN also noted that he game peaked at 4.0 million viewers from 4:45 pm to 5:00 pm ET.
The DC Defenders defeated the Seattle Dragons in front of 17,163 fans 31-19 at Audi Field.
The final ratings for the kickoff game are expected to be released on Monday.
