Mickie James was a guest on The Fox News channel’s “Red Eye” last night to plug her new CD “Strangers and Angels.” She said that country music has had a big impact on her life growing up on a farm in Virginia. James said when she was on the road for 250 days a year, so she enjoyed listening to the country music on the radio. She said that she played the violin for five years before putting that on hold to pursue a career in professional wrestling. James said that wrestling has allowed her to perform in front of millions of fans, which has prepared her to sing for her fans. They brought up that the producer of her album also worked with Dolly Parton, but James said her music sounds nothing like Parton’s. James said one of her songs came to her on the way to the gym, and was re-wrote in Nashville and it made it on the album.
