Major League Wrestling reportedly hires former WWE SmackDown head writer

MLW hires former WWE SmackDown writer

According to a new report by PWInsider, Major League Wrestling has hired Alex Greenfield, former head writer for WWE SmackDown.

Greenfield was the head writer of SmackDown for 36 episodes between 2006 and 2007.  He also was a writer for 43 episodes of Monday Night Raw in 2006.

He also has served as a writer for various WWE pay-per-view events in 2005, 2006 and 2007, including SummerSlam and WrestleMania 22.

The report also indicates that Greenfield will be working as a producer for MLW.

MLW currently airs on the live free-to-consumer fubo Sports Network every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm ET with a replay at 10:00 pm ET.  MLW will make its return their next month with new programming after a hiatus that was due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
