Former Ring of Honor Champion Dalton Castle is reportedly a free agent
The news was first tweeted last Thursday by James Stewart at 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM in Boston, MA), then reported two days later by Wrestling, Inc.
FW4Online is now also reporting Castle is a free agent.
It is being said that Castle (real name Brett Giehl) has a “good” offer from ROH, but is exploring all of his options.
Castle was part of the company’s recent Pure Title Tournament, where he lost to Jay Lethal in the first round. His last appeared for the company in a 10-Man Tag Team Match on their Christmas show.
Castle first signed with Ring of Honor in 2013. He defeated Cody Rhodes for the ROH World title at the company’s 2017 Final Battle PPV. Then due to a number of injuries, including a broken back, Castle would drop the title to Jay Lethal on June 30, 2018. He also has held the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles with The Boys.
The 34-year old Castle holds a degree in Communications and Theatre. He began his wrestling career in Rochester, New York in 2009.
Heard former Ring of Honor Champion Dalton Castle is officially a free agent.
I think he's a hell of a good wrestling talent and has been super nice to me during meet and greet.
I think he'd be a positive add to a pro wrestling roster.
