NWA to hold all women's PPV produced by Mickie James

At the opening of Tuesday’s NWA Powerrr on FITE TV, NWA owner Billy Corgan made two major announcements.

The NWA will be heading to St. Louis, Missouri for two pay-per-views this August.

The first PPV will be an all-women’s PPV produced by former WWE Superstar Mickie James, who is also married to current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.  James said an all-women’s show was something has she wanted for years, only to be “cut off at every opportunity.”

James was released by WWE back on April 15 due to budget cuts. James is married to current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.

The all-women’s pay-per-view will be on Saturday, August 28th, while the second pay-per-view will held on Sunday, August 29th from the Chase Ballroom, called NWA 73, which will be a tribute show to the original home of the NWA and legendary promoter Sam Muchnick.

The NWA will also hold Powerrr television tapings on Monday, August 30th and Tuesday, August 31st.
