Former WCCW and USWA star Chris Youngblood passed away

Former WCCW and USWA star Chris Youngblood (Chris Romero) passed away Wednesday at the age of 55.

According to Slam Wrestling, the announcement of Chris Romero’s passing was made by Ricky Romero, Jr. on Facebook. 

Chris Romero wrestled with his brother, Mark as the tag team.  The Youngbloods. He got into professional wrestling at age 13.  He was trained by his father, the legendary Ricky Romero.

Chris had successful runs with his brother in WCCW, WWC, GWF and the USWA. Chris later wrestled or FMW and AJPW in Japan under the in-ring name of The Visionary. 

At one point in his career, Chris had a feud in the USWA with WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin in USWA.  He ran the Romero Academy of Wrestling, and Renegade Outlaw Wrestling.

Chris is survived by his three children and wife, Krista.

As of this report, there is no known cause of death.
