Highlights from “Ring of Honor On the Road” (w/Kevin Kelly), courtesy of The Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson from New Jersey:

His reflections on last weekend’s final HDNet television tapings: “This is a good opportunity now to close the chapter of HDNet. It was a very emotional day from all indications. I stopped by on Friday afternoon and said hello to everybody. They wound up with a lot of technical glitches on Friday night, but Saturday ended in magical fashion.”

The consensus amongst the locker room about the loss of HDNet: “The general consensus is that there is kind of a ‘Oh well, on to the next.’ The product is too good not to be on television somewhere. We are thankful for the opportunity that HDNet gave to Ring of Honor, but there are other vehicles out there for it. I don’t think anyone was very nervous. There was not a general feeling of malaise.”

What ROH fans can expect during the promotion’s return to to the west coast this Friday night as part of the WrestleReunion 5 weekend & how the forthcoming weeks ahead for Ring of Honor will mirror the WWE’s “Road to WrestleMania”: “Now, we start to move forward, and as the WWE gets on ‘The Road to Wrestlemania’ after The Royal Rumble, we are on the road to our next Internet Pay-Per-View on the 26th (of February). Roderick & the (Ring of Honor World) Championship (being defended vs. El Generico), the return of (Charlie) Haas & (Shelton) Benjamin (vs. The Briscoe Brothers), along with just a stellar card, and a dream scientific match-up with Davey Richards & TJ Perkins. There’s a lot of unique things with this event that makes it very special for the great fans in Los Angeles.”

More is contained in Kevin’s return to The Mayhem, including his candid thoughts & comments on whether ROH fans will embrace the “new” Steve Corino in 2011, an in-depth look at the newest talents that have recently made a splash in the world of honor, plus so much more!
