To follow up on our earlier report by Steve Gerweck, the pro wrestling debut of former EliteXC and UFC star Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson was canceled just three days beore his scheduled match on February 5 in Fukuoka, Japan due to Slice suffering an injury while training. Slice, who was scheduled to wrestle Shinichi Suzukawa for the Inoki Genome Federation, will be replaced by Bob Sapp. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Slice was not a pro wrestling fan and his handlers had zero knowledge about the pro wrestling business. IGF had been pushing hard to bring in Slice since he was cut by UFC in May of 2010.
