I had an interesting thought while looking at the trending buyrates for the last few pay per views, and I would like to get your opinion on this theory. With 14+ pay per views per year, and buy rates dwindeling, would it necessarily benefit the WWE to cut back. Along with large gates they will get by upcharging the PPV tickets, and still a respectable buy-rate, wouldn’t you forsee the WWE to lose money by not doing this many PPV’s. We all understand that the WWE is a business made to make money, or they wouldn’t go public with stock, but would lowering the amount of PPV’s really help the WWE? I in fact think it would hurt them because they would lose yearly buys overall, lose those PPV gates, and just plain lose. What are your thoughts?
