Ricky Morton announced on Twitter that the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will begin their farewell tour this month.
Morton noted he wants to focus more with his son, Kerry, and also behind the scenes in the wrestling business.
Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson formed in as the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express in the Memphis territory in 1983. They had runs Mid South Wrestling, and most notably in Jim Crockett Promotions NWA, where they had a great feuded with The Midnight Express.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express have held tag team titles from various promotions. They held the Smokey Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Titles 10 times.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express were inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
