With SmackDown tapings normally held on a Tuesday, and spoilers out on the web following the show, it’s hard for most in the minority to not read them, then watch the show when it airs without a level of bias or predetermined subjectivity. It’s especially hard once you do the dreaded ‘scroll down’ wherever you may read the spoiler report and see the ‘this is bullshit’ posts from those in the interwebs, and you wish you’d just never clicked and should have waited out the few days to enjoy it. I know a lot of work goes into preparing the show over the week in post-production getting it ready for Friday nights, as well as the issue with touring and keeping the roster travelling together, however if it were possible – would having the show taped on a Thursday night (and prepared/edited all Friday before airing) maybe reduce the amount of internet noise regarding a show no-one has seen yet in full, and just allow fans to do what its meant to do – entertain us?
