The Bright House Sports Network has an interview with Randy Savage’s brother Lanny Poffo. Poffo confirmed that Randy Savage died of a condition known as ventricular fibrillation. VF is a severe heart abnormality that can lead to bouts of fainting and heart attacks. Poffo said that his brother’s death was “quick and painless.”
Poffo also credits Randy’s widow, Lynn, as being a hero. Savage’s foot was still on the accelerator and she steered the Jeep Wrangler into a tree to save a motorcyclist and a bus.
