SPOILERS and notes from Saturday night’s MLW TV taping: Former ECW, WWE and NXT stars appear

Former ECW World Champion Raven returned to Major League Wrestling during Saturday night’s television taping for the REELZ cable network. It is being said he is something of a spiritual advisor to Ricky Shane Page and AKIRA on camera and backstage. He will also be working as a producer for MLW.

Among those also working as Producers were Delirious, Davey Richards, Hugo Savinovich, and Lince Dorado. The TV taping which were held at the 2300 Arena and was close to, if not a complete sellout. Cesar Duran did not appear, as MLW is doing a kidnapping storyline.  Sam Adonis at one point had a sign asking fans to call in tips on his whereabouts.

The original plan was for former WWF and Memphis Wrestling star Duke “The Dumpster” Drose to appear as the guest referee for the Dumpster Match that headlined the show as an unannounced surprise.  He was expected the night before but for some reason, was unable to make the appearance.

Matthew Justice from Game Changer Wrestling officially debuted.  John Hennigan (former WWE Superstar John Morrison) has been officially placed with his wife Taya Valkyrie (former NXT Superstar Franky Monte) and Sam Adonis as a trio.

MLW’s next events 4/6 in NYC at the Melrose Ballroom for War Chamber on April 6 and back at the 2300 Arena on April 8. It is also said MLW will be doing some tapings for TV in Tijuna, Mexico next month.

MLW Underground will officially premiere this Tuesday, February 7 on REELZ at 10:00 pm ET. The show will feature former WWE and NXT Superstars.

-MLW Champion Alexander Hammerstone vs. EJ Nduka (former NXT Superstar Ezra Judge) in a Last Man Standing Match.

-Bomaye Fight Club leader Alex Kane has an open challenge.

-Real1 (former WWE Superstar Ezo Amore), Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Mance Warner to appear.

-“The mysterious calling card attacks escalate.”

Following the episode, REELZ will present a classic MLW broadcast featuring last year’s Battle Riot IV.
