Keji Muto wrestles his final match on Tuesday

Keiji Muto wrestled for the final time of his career the at Pro Wrestling NOAH Muto Grand Final on Tuesday at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

Muto lost to Tetsuya Naito and Destino. Muto then called out Masahiro Chono for an impromptu matchup. Chono accepted the match and tapped out Muto with an STF.

Muto began his professional wrestling career in 1984, in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He also worked for WCW, and AJPW. He has made appearances for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and AEW. Muto also founded Wrestle-1. From 1996-2000, Muto was also part of NWO Japan. Muto, as The Great Muta character wrestled his final match on January 22.

Muto is one of the five wrestlers to win the three major championships: AJPW’s Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, NJPW’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and Noah’s GHC Heavyweight Championship. He also had held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. He is also a 13-time world tag team champion: five AJPW World Tag Team Champions, six IWGP Tag Team Championships, one GHC Tag Team Championship, and one-time WCW World Tag Team Champion.
